This product will watch a list of specified IFS directories and trigger the desired actions when a file will be created into it. This is the perfect tool to automate the process of processing files that are FTPed on your system.
Action can be:
- GUNZIP (compress) / DEGUNZIP (decompress) a file using our iGZIP tool
- ZIP / UNZIP a file using our iZIPIT tool
- Crypt / Decrypt a file using our iCRYPIT tool
- FTP the file toward a server
- Launch one of your program to process the file
It is possible to launch multiple actions if desired. You can be notified of the taken action by email.

Setup: No setup, no shell, no PASE... you get usable iSeries commands (*CMD).
You can compress or decompress, using ZIP standard, your files that are stored in the IFS directories. You get two commands with simple parameters that you can use in your own applications: one command for compression, the other one is for decompression. Documentation is included in the ZIP file.

OS version: V5R2 and up.
Setup: No setup, no shell, no PASE... you get callable RPGLE programs.
You can compress or decompress, using GZIP, your files that are stored in the IFS directories. You get two RPGLE programs with 3 simple parameters that you can use in your own applications: one program for compression, the other one is for decompression. Documentation is included in the ZIP file.
LIMITATIONS: Files are compressed individually...for example, if you select 10 files for compression, you will end up with 10 compressed files. GZIP does not support archiving, it only does compression/decompression on individual files. This tool will generate ".gz" compressed files.
